Professional Speakers BIOS:
 
Carrie Lane- Former head coach at Coastal Carolina and most recent, the throws coach at Univ. of Nebraska.  Coached the 2012 NCAA discus champion, and 23 All-Americans during her career.  Was the personal coach for Olympic gold medalist Adam Nelson in the shot. Now with Peak Energy Performance Training in Denver.

Chris Faust-  Cherokee Trail H.S.  Head coach since the school opened in 2002.  Has guided the boys to seven league titles and two state titles, along with directing the girls to their first state title last spring.  The boys alone have won ten state relay titles, and four of them were in the mile relay.

Jeff Guy-  Jeff is the Desert Vista H.S. coach in Arizona.  And was the 2011 National Coach of the Year.  Coaching the vaulters, they have won 26 state titles and have had another 13 state runner-ups.  He also runs the Ultimate High Vault Club.

Doug Clark-  Doug ran in college at Southwest Missouri State, and laster qualified for the marathon in the Olympic trials.  He started his coaching career at Arkansas, and was their recruiting coordinator during many three peat men’s titles.  He moved to Tulsa to be the cross country coach, before going to Kansas University to be the cross country and distance coach for track.  After nine years at Kansas, Doug moved to Univ. of Memphis….thru this he coached several All-Americans, NCAA champions and place winners, and also Charlie Gruber was a Olympian in 2004.

Natalie Reyes-  One of the top distance coaches in the U.S., Coach Reyes guided distance standout Jordyn Coulter during her senior year, along with many other outstanding girls and boys at Creek.

Karim Wahab-  Karim is in his sixth year at CSU in Fort Collins.  He is in charge of the sprints, hurdles, and relays for the Rams!   He has also been an assistant coach at Northern Colorado, and the Colorado School of Mines.  Karim is the personal coach for Janay Deloach who has a PR of 12.84 for the 100H, and was 5th at the World Indoors last year. He also helped former Wasson standout Trevor Brown to being a 5 time All-American in the intermediate hurdles.  He was also the Egyptian national team coach for the sprints.

Dr. Rick Perera-  He is a renowned speaker for sports psychology and is a teacher at Metro State College in Denver.  He will help you to help you athletes get their best performances.

Dr. Rick Bettger-  Rick is a former Athletic Director at Aurora Central High School and member of the CHSAA Board of Control.  He is a consultant and expert witness for legal matters concerning school litigation and negligence.  He is an Adjunct Professor at Colorado State University, Serves at the Director of Education for CHSCA.

Matt Hemingway-  Matt grew up in Buena Vista, and attended the Univ. of Arkansas and was 2nd in the NCAA for the high jump, and in 2004 was runner-up in the Olympics for the high jump!  He has a best jump of 7’93/4 and still holds the Colorado high school record.

Holly Thompson-  Holly is a former NCAA place winner  in the HJ at Florida St. and was the state hurdles champ in high school for Florida.  She now works for M-F Athletic.

Art Nelson and Art Gutjahr-  they coach the jumps at Cherokee Trail.  Art graduated from Florida St. where he competed, and started coaching at Aurora Central.  Eric was the head coach at Columbus East in Indiana, before moving to Denver.  The two have had six league champions, 17 state qualifiers and two state champions.

Dr. Emily Splichal-  Podiatrist and M.A. in Human movement.  She is a consultant of Nike and after 13 years in the fitness industry, she has focused on human movement as it relates to the foot function and also barefoot training.

Ben Montoya and Ken Smith-  Ben is the legendary coach at Fountain Ft.Carson in Colorado Springs.  With many state titles and year after year producing top sprinters in the state, and Keith has been a sprint coach in the program for several years and has presented before covering starts and relays.
 
Mark Roberts teaches math and English at Lyons Md/Sr High School. He has coached track for 29 years, cross country for the last 20 years, and this is his 25th year at Lyons after beginning his coaching career at Niwot in 1987 while an undergraduate at CU. Since 2002, the Lyons' boys and girls track and cross country teams have brought home 12 state championships and 11 runner-up trophies. Mark and his wife Kim have 10 children and currently live on 10 acres south of Lyons where they (and the 7 youngest) care for the small farm where he grew up.

Jeff Boele has coached in a variety of settings since he started in 2000 - collegiate, club, middle school, high school, and private. He has served as an assistant coach for the track and field and cross country teams at Lyons' Md/Sr High School since 2010. He holds coaching certifications for various event groups from the USTFCCCA and USATF. He has a passion for coaches' education, both learning and helping others learn. Under Jeff's tutelage, the Lyons' distance events have produced multiple state champions and placers, and he has also coached the jumping events with similar results. Jeff and his wife Amy have 2 boys.

Professional Speakers BIOS:
 
Carrie Lane- Former head coach at Coastal Carolina and most recent, the throws coach at Univ. of Nebraska.  Coached the 2012 NCAA discus champion, and 23 All-Americans during her career.  Was the personal coach for Olympic gold medalist Adam Nelson in the shot. Now with Peak Energy Performance Training in Denver.

Chris Faust-  Cherokee Trail H.S.  Head coach since the school opened in 2002.  Has guided the boys to seven league titles and two state titles, along with directing the girls to their first state title last spring.  The boys alone have won ten state relay titles, and four of them were in the mile relay.

Jeff Guy-  Jeff is the Desert Vista H.S. coach in Arizona.  And was the 2011 National Coach of the Year.  Coaching the vaulters, they have won 26 state titles and have had another 13 state runner-ups.  He also runs the Ultimate High Vault Club.

Doug Clark-  Doug ran in college at Southwest Missouri State, and laster qualified for the marathon in the Olympic trials.  He started his coaching career at Arkansas, and was their recruiting coordinator during many three peat men’s titles.  He moved to Tulsa to be the cross country coach, before going to Kansas University to be the cross country and distance coach for track.  After nine years at Kansas, Doug moved to Univ. of Memphis….thru this he coached several All-Americans, NCAA champions and place winners, and also Charlie Gruber was a Olympian in 2004.

Natalie Reyes-  One of the top distance coaches in the U.S., Coach Reyes guided distance standout Jordyn Coulter during her senior year, along with many other outstanding girls and boys at Creek.

Karim Wahab-  Karim is in his sixth year at CSU in Fort Collins.  He is in charge of the sprints, hurdles, and relays for the Rams!   He has also been an assistant coach at Northern Colorado, and the Colorado School of Mines.  Karim is the personal coach for Janay Deloach who has a PR of 12.84 for the 100H, and was 5th at the World Indoors last year. He also helped former Wasson standout Trevor Brown to being a 5 time All-American in the intermediate hurdles.  He was also the Egyptian national team coach for the sprints.

Dr. Rick Perera-  He is a renowned speaker for sports psychology and is a teacher at Metro State College in Denver.  He will help you to help you athletes get their best performances.

Dr. Rick Bettger-  Rick is a former Athletic Director at Aurora Central High School and member of the CHSAA Board of Control.  He is a consultant and expert witness for legal matters concerning school litigation and negligence.  He is an Adjunct Professor at Colorado State University, Serves at the Director of Education for CHSCA.

Matt Hemingway-  Matt grew up in Buena Vista, and attended the Univ. of Arkansas and was 2nd in the NCAA for the high jump, and in 2004 was runner-up in the Olympics for the high jump!  He has a best jump of 7’93/4 and still holds the Colorado high school record.

Holly Thompson-  Holly is a former NCAA place winner  in the HJ at Florida St. and was the state hurdles champ in high school for Florida.  She now works for M-F Athletic.

Art Nelson and Art Gutjahr-  they coach the jumps at Cherokee Trail.  Art graduated from Florida St. where he competed, and started coaching at Aurora Central.  Eric was the head coach at Columbus East in Indiana, before moving to Denver.  The two have had six league champions, 17 state qualifiers and two state champions.

Dr. Emily Splichal-  Podiatrist and M.A. in Human movement.  She is a consultant of Nike and after 13 years in the fitness industry, she has focused on human movement as it relates to the foot function and also barefoot training.

Ben Montoya and Ken Smith-  Ben is the legendary coach at Fountain Ft.Carson in Colorado Springs.  With many state titles and year after year producing top sprinters in the state, and Keith has been a sprint coach in the program for several years and has presented before covering starts and relays.
 
Mark Roberts teaches math and English at Lyons Md/Sr High School. He has coached track for 29 years, cross country for the last 20 years, and this is his 25th year at Lyons after beginning his coaching career at Niwot in 1987 while an undergraduate at CU. Since 2002, the Lyons' boys and girls track and cross country teams have brought home 12 state championships and 11 runner-up trophies. Mark and his wife Kim have 10 children and currently live on 10 acres south of Lyons where they (and the 7 youngest) care for the small farm where he grew up.

Jeff Boele has coached in a variety of settings since he started in 2000 - collegiate, club, middle school, high school, and private. He has served as an assistant coach for the track and field and cross country teams at Lyons' Md/Sr High School since 2010. He holds coaching certifications for various event groups from the USTFCCCA and USATF. He has a passion for coaches' education, both learning and helping others learn. Under Jeff's tutelage, the Lyons' distance events have produced multiple state champions and placers, and he has also coached the jumping events with similar results. Jeff and his wife Amy have 2 boys.
